A Billion Reasons Why by Kristin Billerbeck

He’s a handsome billionaire. She’s not impressed.
Katie McKenna has never loved any man but one: billionaire Luc DeForges. He was her first love. But there are a billion reasons why she's engaged instead to Dexter Hastings, a solid and stable man who wants the same things she does: marriage and a family but all of the things that she wants without the deep-seeded pain and fear of being abandoned that Luc brings. Dexter and she have worked an arrangement that's akin to faith without action, love without deeds -- a dead faith. Going home to New Orleans to sing for her childhood friend's wedding, Katie must search her heart to find out if any of her reasons for being with Dexter are stronger than love. Only when Katie steps fully into faith and jumps off the cliff of life into the arms of Luc does she understand the fullness of God's grace.

For starters, I absolutely loved this book. Not only did it incorporate romance, but it also included a strong willed girl, willing to follow her instincts. The only thing that bothered me about this book was that it ended to soon. I wish that there was a sequel I could read. I loved Luc and knew I would fall in love with him the second her was introduced into the story. The chemistry between him and Katie was explosive. The story line was a little clique. I hated Dexter as a character just because he was the one in the way of Katie and Luc. This book is a romance fanatics dream. I would recommend it to anyone willing to dive into such a tale.

Invasion By Jon S. Lewis

"Colt McAllister is drawn into a war against things he thought only existed in comic books.
After a car wreck takes the lives of his parents, Colt moves to Arizona to stay with his grandfather. There, an informant tells him that his parents were actually murdered because his mom, a journalist, was getting ready to write a story exposing Trident Industries.Along with Oz and Danielle, his new comrades at Chandler High, Colt vows to uncover the truth. But the more they learn, the more bizarre reality becomes. Mind control, jet packs, and flying motorcycles only scratch the surface of what they discover.Colt is recruited by a secret organization called the Central Headquarters Against the Occult and Supernatural. But the battle isn't just against an out-of-control giant corporation. A gateway to another world is opening, and the invasion has already begun."

When i first received this book i was extremely excited. The cover art of the book is amazingly done, and gives it a dark appeal to it. I really liked Colt and felt bad for him after his parents are killed. The book did start out a bit slow, but picked up immediately. I did get confused with all of the characters. I had a hard time of keeping track of who was good and who was bad. I really liked the team that Colt had put together in order to find out who had killed his parents. This series has a promising future. If the author continues to write his books like this one, he will certainly be successfull. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in action and computers.
